The song in the Kohl’s commercial is called Desperate Guys. It is the opening track on The Faint’s 2004 album called “Wet From Birth”. The video is posted below, I wish I could come up with a higher quality version. If anyone comes up with a higher quality version of the music video, please let me know in the comments. Notice the violin solo at the beginning of the song? Well the song inside the song inside the commercial…. if that makes sense, is actually 19th century Niccolo Paganini piece called Caprice No. 5. Kohl’s Jeans Ad Description
2012 Kohl’s commercial featuring the fact that they new carry Rock & Republic jeans. Basically the commercial features a beautiful brunette woman and a man, walking around New York, wearing Rock & Republic jeans. Looking pretty sweet. The ad is lots of shots of their outfits, quick close-ups of her butt, his shirt, his jeans, her R&R shirt, etc.
Okay folks, here is the deal with the Rock & Republic and Khol’s. Basically, in 2010 Rock & Republic filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Later that year, Rock & Republic sold the brand name, trademark, and intellectual property to a company called VF Corporation. In April 2011, VF Corporation announced a long term licensing deal with Kohl’s corporation to carry a budget version of Rock & Republic jeans. Instead of the jeans costing $200, they cost less than $100. But still, if you’re buying Rock & Republic “budget” jeans, $88 is hardly what I call “budget”. Not to knock it too much though, I understand that jeans are weird, sometimes only certain jeans are perfect for someone’s body. I just wanted to give everybody a heads up, that in a sense, “real” Rock & Republic jeans aren’t what’s being sold at Kohl’s.

So that beautiful brunette who is rocking the Rock & Republic jeans is named Michelle Vawer. She is going to be featured in the 2012 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue. And yes, she is hot stuff.
