I wasn’t familiar with this band until I did a post for a recent Chevy Sonic Commercial. I checked them out on Rdio and instantly became a fan. The song also features a singer named Janelle Monáe, who we have featured in a 2011 Chevy Cruze commercial. If you haven’t heard her song in that ad yet, I highly recommend you check it out.
Back to this song “We Are Young” though. That is such a catchy song. Although it’s weird once you listen to the song lyrics, it’s a song about being young and free and getting really drunk, and it’s in a car commercial featuring people doing crazy stunts. Perhaps I’m over-thinking it. Anyway, here is the music video for the song:
